VANCOUVER - Police on Friday said the number of arrests in a massive Southwest Washingtoon marijuana operation jumped to 49 people.
Dozens of indoor marijuana growing operations were targeted in raids Wednesday involving hundreds of agents, leading investigators to declare Clark County one of the biggest pot growing regions on the West Coast.
Investigators said around 6,800 plants were seized.
Appearing in a Clark County court Friday, most were charged with possession and manufacturing marijuana. Bail was set anywhere between $50,000 and $100,000.
Clark and Skamania county deputies said "Operation Gang Green" began in 2009 as police became aware of several indoor marijuana grows.
Investigators said entire homes were turned into indoor gardens.
Around 300 local, state, and federal officers were executing search warrants at more than 50 homes in the area Thursday. Several arrests have also been made in other states leading police to around 150 pounds of processed pot from locations in Clark County.
